Your agreement comes first
If we have a signed agreement, a purchase order or written terms with you, those win wherever they say something different from this page. This page covers everything they do not.
Concepts, presentations and mockups
Every concept, route, presentation and visual we show you stays ours until you commission it and pay for it. Routes you do not take forward stay ours.
Mockups show how a design could look in use. The setting, the objects, the people and any photography in them are illustrative. They are not a promise of the finished item and are not licensed for use.
Please do not publish, reproduce or pass on our presentations or concepts outside your organisation without asking us first.
Proofs and sign-off
Our proofs are PDFs for checking words, prices and layout. They are not a colour guide.
Please check every proof before you approve it: spelling, prices, dates, allergens, calories, legal and licensing wording, and any names or marks. Once a proof is approved, errors in it are your responsibility, not ours.
Colour varies between screens, papers, finishes and printing methods. If colour matters, ask your printer for a hard proof or wet proof and check it before the run. The printer's proof is the one that counts for print.
We are not responsible for the printer's work, their proof, their quantities or their delivery unless we have agreed in writing to manage the print for you.
What you supply
You are responsible for the accuracy of the copy, prices, nutritional, allergen and legal information you give us, and for having the right to use any logos, photography, fonts or material you send.
We set what you supply faithfully. Where we spot something that looks wrong we will tell you, but checking it is still yours to do.
Copyright and use
Copyright in our work belongs to us until the invoice for it is paid in full. Once paid, you may use the final artwork for the purpose it was made for, or as your agreement with us sets out.
Working files, source files and unused concepts are not included unless we have agreed to supply them.
We may show finished, published work in our portfolio and on our website unless you ask us not to.
Imagery, stock and AI
Some imagery we use is licensed stock or created with AI image tools. Stock licences follow the provider's terms. Where AI has made a material contribution to a finished visual we will tell you, and we cannot guarantee that AI-generated elements can be protected as copyright or registered as a trade mark.
Liability
Our total liability for any piece of work is limited to the fee paid for that work. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or reprint costs after approval.
Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Our emails and their attachments are confidential and meant only for the people they are addressed to. If one reaches you by mistake, please tell us and delete it.
We take care to send clean files but cannot accept liability for viruses or for email being intercepted or altered in transit.
Privacy
When you email or call us we keep your name, contact details and our correspondence to do the work, send invoices and keep proper business records. We do not sell your details or use them for marketing lists.
The contact form on this site opens your own email app. Nothing you type into it is stored on our website.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser's IP address is sent to Google. Our hosting keeps standard server logs for security.
We keep business records for as long as the law requires, usually six years. You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@hieb.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. The arcade game saves high scores in your own browser, and nothing leaves your device.
Law
This page and any work we do for you are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
